What do you want?

Everyone has problems. You have them. I have them. Most of us deal with them pretty well. Sometimes, the problem seems overwhelming...to us. How many times have you said, “All he has to do is...to fix his problem.” We are usually much better at solving the problems of others than solving our own problems.

The reason, frequently, is that we don’t really see our own problem. We think we do. Often we are wrong. Here’s a silly example...

Fred decides he wants to make a lot of money. He becomes a real estate broker for super expensive homes. His commissions are enormous. He’s got a bundle in the bank. But...he thinks...it isn’t enough. He decides to work even harder next year to earn even more. Sound like anyone you know...or you?

The question Fred never asked himself was, “What is enough to do what I want to do?” The reason he never asked the question is usually because he really does not know what he really wants.

If you were Bill Gates and had all the money you could ever image having, what do you really want to do? Gates and his buddy Warren Buffet have decided to give their money away to charities. Would you?
